Budget Friendly - Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller

This controller was one of the first that I purchased and I loved it! I didn't like the idea to use the Xbox controller, or Playstation because of being able to play a lot on my consoles and the need to sync every when I switched to be too much of an annoyance.

Best iPhone gaming controllers
The Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller allowed me to keep my console gaming separate from my mobile gaming. The wire technology let it be completely independent and instant when it was time to connect it with my iPhone. My only complaint to do with this was larger models of the iPhone, such as Pro Max versions iPhone Pro Max versions weren't enough comfortable for long periods of time.

The buttons are adequate but they won't be able to be able to compete with an Xbox or DualShock controller in the button department. If you're comfortable syncing and switching between your console and mobile device or don't have a console than I suggest taking this controller off and buying a console controller that is dedicated to consoles equipped with an adapter clamp that will allow you to clip your iPhone to your preferred controller.

Mid-tier: SteelSeries Nimbus+
This is a controller that allows you to switch between devices like your Mac, Apple TV, and iPhone or iPad easily since it is wireless. It's more expensive than the Rotor Riot Gamepad It has more durable and is wireless. I believe it is worthy of an entry on the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list because of its flexibility in design, quality of design, and price. I would say that I like the non-symmetrical joystick design.

High-Tier: Razer Kishi & Backbone One
We received two controllers in the high end tier of this top iPhone gaming controllers list and I got to say they are both approximately the same price, depending on the sales that Amazon may be running, however they both have great build quality and are as near as you will ever attain portability and the way you want it.

Razer Kishi
Razer Kishi for iOS – Lightning (Not the USB C version)
My personal preference for my iPhone gaming needs with a controller due to the ease of use and portability of this controller. The right joystick can be a little odd for its placement compared to my small-medium hands and the d-pad feels a bit weird so getting familiar with it is something you'll have to work on. I chose this one instead of the Backbone One even though it did not have those issues due to the fact that it folds up into a compact shape so that could be tucked away in the back of my bag or into pockets to carry around.

Truly compact and perfect for gaming on the go. I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and it is working perfectly. The device can fit almost any modern iPhone even the Mini series so don't worry about it not fitting. Last thing you should know is the fact that it is available in two versions 1. for iOS and 2. for Android using USB C. PS: This works with Xbox Game Pass and OpenEmulator for iPhone.

Backbone One
Backbone One

This is another high end option for your Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list and I'll be honest with that you I was almost going to this model over the Razer Kishi due to the fact that the controller is more comfortable with joystick placement and a bit heavier and more firm to it. This gives it more "pro" gaming feeling, but looks I don't agree. However, you have to decide if you want portability more than quality or quality over mobility?

I'm aware that this device comes with a software launcher for games that's pretty cool, however in my opinion it is an untruth and I wouldn't even consider it when deciding between this model and Razer Kishi.

I still can suggest this product based on the information I've gathered and have found that it is a great choice . It's only individual preference that differentiates this Backbone One and the Razer Kishi because both cost around $100. PS This works with Xbox Game Pass

The most sensible option...
In reality, if you wish to get the perfect balance of budget friendly and high-end build, it's much better to not pay more than 60 dollars for your controller. Instead, just get one of the controllers from Xbox or PlayStation using the DualShock. They are wireless and the built quality is something these $100 controllers are not able to compete with, but they are superior to the console controllers from the official brand in terms of portability.

Xbox Controller
The Xbox controller provides the highest value and balance of quality, but before I let you go, there are some things you should know about the use of an Xbox controller with an iPhone 1. The paddles won't work with the Elite Series 2 and the Elite Series 1 doesn't have Bluetooth to it won't work. All different Bluetooth contemporary Xbox controllers will function just perfectly.

PlayStation Dual Shock Controller
This controller is tried and tested for compatibility with Emulators and virtually every games-related on iOS, but the new PS5 controller will not support adaptive triggers due to Sony not permitting it. Both PS4 version and PS5 version controllers are compatible good with iPhone.
